CHARLOTTE, NC – January 31, 2020 – Quality Products & Machine, LLC, a leading manufacturer of precision metal components and fabricated assemblies, announced Friday that it has promoted Thomas Miller to the position of Machining Manager effective immediately.
“Thomas has been a great asset to our company since he joined us in 2018,” said Kevin Farmer, Quality Products’ President. “He has clearly demonstrated the potential to be a strong supervisor, and now he gets his opportunity to show us what he can do.”
“Promoting Thomas was an easy decision to make,” explained Patrick Mayne, Quality Products’ Operations Manager whose recent promotion created the opening that Thomas is now filling. “Thomas was the lead man in the machine shop prior to his promotion. He was involved with programing CNC equipment, trouble shooting, new teammate training and fixture development. He has always been a team player and is easy to work with.”
Thomas assumes responsibility for managing Quality’s machine shop. His new duties include engineering job travelers, scheduling, implementing process improvements, and purchasing materials for the machine shop.
“It has been a pleasure to work for this company,” stated Thomas Miller. “Quality Products has been my work home for a while now, and it is awesome that this company promotes from within. It is also an honor to follow the footsteps of Patrick Mayne in this position.”
Quality Products operates from a 47,000-square-foot facility in Charlotte, NC at 4600 Westinghouse Boulevard. It manufactures complex prototype and low-to-mid volume metal parts, with a focus on the power generation and defense markets.
Quality Products was founded in 1962. ZP Enterprises, LLC, an Atlanta-based firm, acquired majority interest in the company in 2010, then purchased the remaining ownership in 2018.
